Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Yardie at yardie.base44.app. By creating an account or using any feature, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. Drivers and helpers must complete identity verification and pass a background check before accepting work.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and update it when it changes. You may hold multiple marketplace roles (buyer, seller, driver, helper).

To drive or perform services, you must submit a $1.99 non-refundable background-check screening fee and provide your SSN, date of birth, driver's license number, government ID photos, proof of insurance, and a verification selfie. Approval is at Yardie's discretion and may be revoked for safety, legal, or performance reasons.

Sellers create listings for items and yard sales. Standard-tier sellers receive a set number of free posts per period; posts beyond that limit require a $2 over-limit fee. You may link to an external marketplace (Craigslist, Facebook, OfferUp) from your listing. Sellers must own what they list and may not post prohibited items.

Buyers can request delivery of a purchased item or post a service job. When you request a job, you authorize a temporary hold on your saved payment method; the hold is captured when a helper accepts and the work is completed. If a card is declined on acceptance, a 15-minute window applies to update it before the job is cancelled. A secure delivery PIN protects item handoffs.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Earnings for drivers and helpers are held in escrow until the buyer confirms completion or an auto-release period passes, then credited to your wallet. Cash-out requests require admin approval. Each cash-out incurs a $1.99 fee. Tips are paid to the worker.

Buyers may cancel a service job before a helper accepts at no cost. Once a helper has accepted, cancellation may include a flat trip-fee compensation. Delivery cancellations may trigger a refund of the original PaymentIntent. Disputes are resolved through our dispute process or arbitration.

You may not:

• List stolen, illegal, or prohibited items;
• Arrange off-platform payments to bypass fees;
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others;
• Provide false identity or vehicle information;
• Interfere with the platform's operation or data.

Yardie charges platform fees on transactions, over-limit listing fees, and cash-out fees, as described in the app. We may change our fee structure with notice.

We encourage resolving disputes through in-app support first. Except where prohibited, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Yardie will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis (no class actions), governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. You may bring small-claims matters in a small-claims court.

Yardie is a marketplace and does not guarantee any transaction's outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yardie is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for safety or legal reasons.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance.
